CARDIOVASCULAR
STEM CELL TREATMENTS

Stem cells have regenerative potential to treat cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, coronary artery diseases, damaged heart tissues and ischemic heart disease among other cardiovascular conditions.

They can grow into a variety of cell types to repair, regenerate and heal damaged organs to work more efficiently as they once could.

ABOUT CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

WHAT ARE CARDIOVASCULAR
DISEASES?

Heart, or cardiovascular diseases, include a wide range of disorders that affect how the heart works. Some examples of heart diseases include coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, hypertension, and valvular heart disease.

WHAT ARE THE
SYMPTOMS?

Symptoms associated with heart disease vary depending on which type of disorder is present. Common symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations  and swelling in the feet, ankles and legs.

WHAT TREATMENTS ARE AVAILABLE?

Traditional treatments focus on managing symptoms and slowing progression. Medications manage symptoms such as high blood pressure, or  irregular heartbeat. Surgery may be indicated to treat an underlying issue.

KEY BENEFITS OF STEM CELL TREATMENT
IN CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

STIMULATION

Stem cells can stimulate the growth of new blood vessels (Angiogenesis) to improve cardiac condition

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can improve left ventricular function and decrease inflammation

REGENERATION

MSCs can differentiate into several different cell types to

develop heart, or blood cells with no cell rejection

  • How do I send the medical records prior to my scheduled treatment?
Once you have contacted us, a Patient Advocate will schedule a free consultation call to discuss your specific health condition, stem cell candidacy and next steps. Please follow the specific instructions that will be provided to ensure that your medical records submission is complete and arrives on time before your actual treatment at our clinic. If you have further questions, please contact us.
  • How is the stem cell treatment administered?
The administration of stem cell treatments depends on the particular health condition and specific needs of each patient. Typical methods of stem cell administration include: Intravenous (IV), intramuscular, intrathecal, and intra-articular.
  • How long does the treatment take?
Stem cell treatment administration is minimally invasive. The total duration of your treatment depends on the specific health condition to treat and the specific duration will be confirmed during your patient assessment period after you apply to receive treatment.
  • How long will it take to see the results from the stem cell treatment?
Each patient case is unique and there is no guarantee that results will be quickly felt, or observed. Some patients report improvements shortly after the treatment, others experience signs of improvement 3 to 6 months after returning home. However, not all patients improve given each case is unique.
  • How much does stem cell treatments cost? Will insurance cover the cost?
Fees for services start from USD$6,900 for intra-articular treatments and USD$15,900 for intravenous (IV) treatments depending on the specific health condition to treat. Pricing does not include traveling costs such as airfare, hotel accommodations, food, or tourism transportation. We provide airport pick-up and drop-off transfers. If you want more information about how much a treatment costs for a specific condition, you're encouraged to get in touch with us via web form. Please note that no insurance provider covers stem cell treatments, particularly overseas.
  • Is stem cell treatment painful?
Each stem cell treatment administration varies on the particular patient condition and it is rarely painful, most stem cell treatments are painless. Pain is subjective and will depend on the patient's threshold for pain, type of administration and specific health condition to be treated. Our medical team will consult with you to discuss your medical history, answer questions and confirm if in rare cases a pain relief treatment is necessary.
  • Is stem cell therapy safe?
Research, clinical studies and actual patient administration show a high level of confidence in the safety of stem cell treatments with little risk of complications, or side effects. CELLMED therapy follows the international standards in biosafety and we do a thorough assessment of each applicant's condition and medical history to discuss stem cell therapy candidacy and safety concerns.
  • How are the stem cells collected?
At CELLMED, we carefully assess, test and collect umbilical cord donations from healthy women after normal birth. All of our donors are subject to careful consideration and sign a consent form to become donors. The mother's blood undergoes comprehensive testing for STDs including HIV, among other diseases.
  • Are there ethical, or regulatory issues with stem cell treatment?
Stem cells are not encompassed by controversies as fetal and embryonic stem cells are. Churches such as the Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Church have issued papers encouraging stem cell research and the use of adult stem cells in health treatments as an ethically acceptable alternative to the use of fetal and embryonic stem cells.
  • Is stem cell therapy right for me?
Please contact us for a free consultation to discuss the specific health condition and treatment needs. Stem cell therapy is a new field and it may not be suitable to treat some diseases, or disorders. We will be happy to answer all your questions to help you determine if cell therapy may be able to help.
  • Why is stem cell therapy not available in the U.S?
Stem cell treatment is considered a new field in medical science, because clinical trials are limited given their ample potential as an alternative in regenerative medicine, the FDA advises people interested in stem cell treatment within the U.S to be careful of unscrupulous providers. The FDA has the authority to regulate stem cell products strictly within the U.S and does not have oversight of treatments done in foreign countries.
